• What is a Kitsune Kitsuari?

  Part One (What you See)
  
  In her usual form she appears to be an anthropomorphic vixen with five tails. Her people are fairly fine featured, somewhat fair folk, though she is not terribly impressive looking for her kind (for more details see physical description data under nitty gritty details, I don't mean she's divinely gorgeous but others of her kind are prettier, I mean she's kind of plain, maybe even truly uncharismatic for her people, but they are pretty enough on average that she still looks somewhat attractive in her own odd way). Most of them float when they move, and she usually does, and one might notice that occassionally when small details go unnoticed they aren't effected properly by her movements (her passing at high speeds doesn't always displace air, things thrown at her that she doesn't see coming sometimes pass through her as though she were spectral, her fur doesn't always move under mild air currents, little stuff like that, why will be explained in the more spoilerific sections further down).   Part Two (What's Really There)
  
  The Kitsune Kistuari are dream creatures, they evolved in the deepest parts of the fantastic aspect of the realm of dreams created by the minds of sentient beings across an infinite span of realities, they are powerful dreamers capable of effecting their native environment absolutely. They exist across multiple planes of reality at once, usually spread over an aread between ten and twenty realities in range, they can spread much thinner, and the strongest of them can condense to less than ten realms in spread. Fire isn't a strong one, she's never in less than about a dozen realities at a time. They can also fold themselves in order to touch the same reality in more than one place, Fire is slightly above average at this, a typical member of the species can manage a maximum of three or four manifestations in a single realm, she can manage five or six, the most talented of her kind can sometime manage up to a few hundred. Any single aspect visible in a world may be there in varying levels of physical presence, anywhere from fully invisible and spectral to more real looking and considerably denser than normal. Damaging or killing their manifestations does them no real lasting harm, damage can be recovered easily and near instantly through an act of will, and death merely forces them out of that reality for a moment, they may send a new aspect back into it after a moments concentration. Kitsuari can also see across the barriers between realities into nearby ones, some can use this to see the future in a limited way by reading what's already happened in faster versions of the reality (not Fire), and all of them can use it to spy on things remotely by sending an aspect to the area to spied on in a parallel reality.
  
  The Kitsuari also carry some aspects of their natural realms reality with them, reality is a relative thing for them and may be altered and manipulated to some extent. The limitations on this vary radically from individual to individual (Fire is fairly average), but are related to the way they dream also, for example, Fire has a hard time changing existing things, but she can create new things with relative ease, and even perfectly replicate things by pulling copies out of the originals. The hardest things to manipulate for her people are thinking beings. Kitsune Kitsuari change their own shape more or less at will, their 'natural' form when physical is that of a slightly oversleak looking non-anthro fox, usually between 2 and a half and four feet in length (Fire is 3 feet long) with nine silky fluffy flowing tails. They are believed by many sages to be related to the mythical fox spirits called Kitsunes (in fact this is what their local name variant is derived from), as well as to various other fox spirits. Most will adapt their forms to match better the area they are in.
  
  Dreams are their native habitat, and it is easy for them to move through the minds of those around them, they frequently pick up on stray emotions, thoughts, or ideas, and have no sense of privacy in their own culture regarding these things, or of ownership, both can be very difficult ideas for the Kitsuari (Fire understands them fairly well thankfully). Kitsuari also have a poor understanding of damage and pain, and especially death, it normally has no meaning for them and as such they don't tend to think of it as terribly meaningful to other creatures (since Kitsuari can't die by any normal means, Fire is better about this than most). Illusions also come rather easily to them.
  
  There may be aspects of this complex species I have failed to note so far, if so they will be added as I realize that they're missing. Feel free to ask questions. One closing note, Kitsuari use their powers much the way you use yours, very casually, all their abilities are just a part of what they are, magic-like reality manipulation effects such as creating things, teleporting objects (they can't teleport themselves, though they can fake it effectively by moving an aspect to the target location and then withdrawing the visible one while bringing it into visibility), telekinisis, etc., come as naturally to them as using their hands, or legs or mouths would to a normal creature. It's kind of a pain in my rear to RP this all the time, and a little frustrating when people try to call me for 'showing off' for using them negligently, she thinks nothing of it and I try not to either. I'm also aware that this race is powerful, I'm not playing it for the power so much as the exact flavor of foreign it has. It's a fascinating perspective to look at the world from.
